Paula Rees

Paula Rees is Director of Diversity Programs for the College of Engineering and Director of the Massachusetts Water Resources Research Center in the College of Natural Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In her Diversity Programs role, she works with students, faculty and staff to provide exceptional education and professional growth opportunities in engineering for diverse students. She is dedicated to developing and implementing programs to help increase the pipeline of students interested in pursuing careers in engineering, and supporting them in achieving their degrees. As Director of the Massachusetts Water Resources Research Center, she overseeing both her own research grants and the sponsored research activity of the Center. Rees received her B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Iowa and her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering and Operations Research from Princeton University with a focus on Water Resources. She also holds a Certificate in Science, Technology, and Public Policy from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton.
