As associate director of the Institute for Teaching and Learning, Melinda serves on the leadership team with a focus on strategic planning and partnerships, communications signature programs, operations, policy creation, and initiative management. She contributes to and promotes the inquiry and scholarship mission of the institute.
She joined the Drake Institute from the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Office of Teaching & Learning and the University of Cincinnati's CET&L. Her professional background is in curriculum design, strategic planning and program development, eLearning and instructional design, assessment and evaluation, and promoting evidence-based instructional approaches, as well as the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.
Currently, she is focusing on the work of the Ohio College Teaching Consortium and its Inclusive Teaching Endorsement that delivers sessions and workshops to over 700 higher education instructors across the state of Ohio in collaboration with community college and university faculty and educational developers.
