POD Innovation Award Finalist: Put it into Practice (PIP)
Imagine that you are an instructor planning to implement a new teaching strategy in your course. You’re probably feeling somewhat anxious, wondering about the reception your students will give your innovation. Now, imagine that you could open up your Zoom room and find yourself greeted by a pair of students and support staff members, all of whom are there to serve as your personal audience so that you can try out that new tool, grading strategy, or other activity. After just 15 minutes, you close your Zoom room, confident in your ability to roll out the new approach to your “real” students. This is the Putting it into Practice (PIP) model.
