The preservation of our ecological systems is the most important issue of our times and is inextricably intertwined with efforts to ensure equity and justice. Equipping our students to cope with and mitigate the effects of climate change and other environmental threats is a central responsibility of higher education. Some faculty development centers are rising to the challenge. From workshops to mini-grants to discussion groups to efforts to reduce their own footprints, centers are exploring ways to address this critical need.
